Another reason for regular tuneups is you have your car running cleaner.With such a strong emphasis to cleaner air through cleaner emmissions it is really important.Because what will happen is if you don’t care for your car you will have a good chance of failing a smog check.  I have seen older cars that when taken care of pass with flying colors in my San Diego smog check shop by doing regular tune ups.  I have seen the other way around as well.  Cars that weren’t taken care of fail miserably.

Finally probably the most important part of your car is your brakes.But people don’t pay attention to it all the time.  By neglecting your brakes and not maintaining it you risk bigger repair costs.  In my San Diego brake shop I see cars have expensive brake repair jobs because they didn’t do simple maintenance. By just keeping an eye on their brakes.Or if regular maintenance and checks were done on it, that could have save them money.

One trend that is gaining steam is when someone is buying a used car, they want the maintenance records.  People are looking to see if a used car has a maintenance record. Because after all if somebody took care of a car you can trust it will last longer. So if you own a car it is very important to keep all the records of service.Because a lot of buyers will want to take a look at that.

So one of the things you want to make sure to do is to keep a receipt of all service you do for your car.  In my San Diego auto repair business I make sure to give all my clients a receipt of the work that was done.  Make sure whichever company you take your car into does the same.  This could mean the difference in getting the price you want or settling for a lot less.

Also whenever you take your car in for a tune up keep a record of it.Getting your vehicle tuned up on a regular schedule will help it run longer and smoother.  It also helps to get your car to pass a smog test much easier.  In my San Dieg smog check center I notice cars that weren’t tuned up regularly are the ones that fail the test.

Finallly even for getting your brakes serviced you want to make sure to keep good records of that service.This is a big part of caring for your vehicle and its maintenance.  It is also something a potential buyer will look at.  Because the last thing a new buyer wants is a big expensive brake service they need.  So in my San Diego brake shop I make sure to give a thorough report to all my clients.

Hopefully you fully understand how important it is to maintain your vehicles if you want to sell it.A lot of buyers now want a history of mainteance for the cars they want to buy.By taking care to keep all maintenance records you will be able to prove that you did maintain it.

Cars that pass these smog tests are the cars that are usually getting regular tuneups.Cars that have not been maintained are the ones that usually fail.

It can also be applied to the brakes.Minor brake jobs will turn into major expensive brake problems if you don’t maintain your brakes.  Just by doing regular maintenance for my clients at my San Diego brake shop I have been able to save them hundreds if not thousands on extra expenses.  And with brakes it saves you with safety issues as well.

Another thing that gets neglected when it comes to our cars are the brakes. Taking care of your car to so as not to get ripped is the main point here.For shops to say that a regularly maintained car will have less is wrong.
