Why you have to deal with anger or depression

As humans we are blessed with emotions.  We have positive emotions. But we also experience emotions that are negative.  In this article let’s take a look at a couple of negative emotions.

Why we need to take a look at these two is because they are emotions that could need professional help.We all have gone through joys.  We all experience other emotions like sadness. We have those times when anger can be experienced by us as well. But sometimes there will be occassions when our emotions get the best of us.  This is speaking from experience being a therapist San Diego.

First lets look at anger. This is an emotion that is extremely volatile.  Everybody experiences this emotion. But for some people it sometimes gets the best of them.  When I say get the best of them I mean they get out of control. They can in some instance take their anger and use violence to express it.That is why it is so dangerous.  I have seen it go too far too many times doing anger management in San Diego. That is the time when you may have to take care of it professionally.Because it has the possibility of harming other people.

The other emotion we may experience is depression.  Doing depression counseling has allowed me to see how this emotion can be dangerous as well.Often times this type of emotion isn’t going to harm people directly.  But this emotion can cause somebody to hurt themselves.  There are many causes.A chemical imbalance can be it’s cause on a few occassions. Those are the times when medicine will be the only form of treatment.Or it can be something that happens that triggers the depression.Doesn’t matter, when a person goes through it, they probably need help.

As you pretty obviously can tell these two emotions are ones that you have to be able to control.  Whether it is anger or depression they both can cause serious damage.  Either to those around you or yourself. So if you can tell someone may be going through these emotions, they could be in need of some counseling. It is going to be the best for everyone.

Anger and depression-emotions that can get out of control

As people we have been given emotions.  We have positive emotions. But we also experience emotions that are negative. In this article, let us take a closer look at some emotions that can become negative.

Why they are two emotions we need to take a closer look at is because these emotions are ones that may require professional help.  We all experience joys.  We all experience other emotions like sadness.  We also at times experience anger as well.  But there are times that emotions can get the best of us.  This is speaking from experience being a therapist San Diego.

First lets look at anger. This is an emotion that is extremely volatile. All people have had the experience of this emotion.  But for a few people it can get the best of them.  When I say get the best of them I mean they get out of control.  They sometimes take that anger and express it with violence. That is the reason why it is so dangerous.  I have seen it go too far too many times doing anger management in San Diego. That is the time when you may have to take care of it professionally.Because it can touch and effect and hurt other people.

The other emotion we may experience is depression.  Doing depression counseling has allowed me to see how this emotion can be dangerous as well. Most of the times this emotion won’t hurt people in a direct way.But this is one of those emotions that can cause harm to one’s self. There are many reasons for it.It could be a chemical imbalance that causes it.Those are the instances when it has to be treated with medicine.Or it might be an event in our lives that cause the depression.  Either way, when someone experiences it they may need help.

As you can plainly tell these emotions need to be kept in check.Whehter you are talking about anger or depression, those emotions both can cause serious issues.Either to people that are around you or yourself. So if you are able to notice that somebody may be experiencing these types of emotions, they might be in need of counseling.  It is best for everyone.

Emotional Issues That Need to Be Addressed

One of the unique things we experience as humans are emotions. Emotions are a very strong part that makes us human.  Emotions such as love, joy, pain, anger, etc. are very powerful emotions we experience. But a lot of times it is due to the fact that we can get so emotional that it leads us into trouble.

I would like to address a couple of strong emotions that sometimes needs professional help.  They are anger and depression. Two emotions that are seemingly different are emotions that can cause major problems.  I have seen it first hand as a family therapist San Diego.

I say it can lead to major problems because they both can lead to violence.  In the case of anger it can lead to violence against others.  In the case of depression it can lead to cases of violence against one’s self.

When you are addressing a situation like anger, it can be a very sticky situation.  As mentioned earlier, it is an emotion you need to control.Because as you probably are already aware, people will do bad things if they are very angry. It does not necessarily need to be physical, it also can come in the form of emotions.  If that is the case you need to address it through anger management San Diego.

Now when talking about depression, this issue is a serious problem as well.It is very dangerous because a lot of times you might not even be aware of it.What I mean is that depression is something someone might experience without you even knowing about it.When something like that happens, horrible things can come about that weren’t expected.Problems like suicide.  I have seen it happen to often as a depression counselor.

If you know you are going through some depression, make sure you treat it quickly.Because before you realize it, it might have already gone too far.The people you know and love may not even be aware of it.  When that happens it can be too late.  So address it early. It can be fixed.

As you can tell, emotions are usually good. But they are known to also cause problems.By learning how to address and tackle the problems emotions can be very beneficial.  Whether you do it by yourself or someone else, take care of it.

Surviving Depression

Depression is one of the strongest human emotions. It is one of those emotions if you leave untreated, could lead to something more serious for those suffering from it severely.

Everyone has those moments when they feel unhappy.  That is natural. But clinical depression goes beyond that.It is a disease. But you can treat it.

I would like to offer some advice and tips that I have gained from my experience as a therapist in San Diego.

So what makes depression, clinical depression?

First off, a person can feel hopelessly sad. This when someone feels like everything is pointless.  Or life is not worth living. Which could lead to feelings or thoughts of suicide.

This usually can last for several weeks if not longer. When your depression is lasting that long, that is when you are moving to the state of clinical depression.

And when you hit that tipping point, you need to seek out a therapist.  Do not leave your condition untreated when it hits that point.Take my word for it, I have learned this from my experience in depression counseling.

So once you find yourself at that point, there are several things you have to do. Because sometimes imbalances in your body or chemistry in your brain can cause depression, you may need to treat it medically. You would use antidrepessant drugs to treat it.

Of course as a counselor, I prefer to treat it through depression counseling.A good counselor helps a person understand and come to grips the the causes of their depression.

They can use another form of therapy such as cognitive behavior therapy which addresses how you think. The objective is to confront those negative thoughts and turn them around to a positive.

A counselor can also help with relaxation techniques. If the depression is stress related, a good way to fight stress is relaxation.

Most of all a depression counselor will be the most effective person to find out what is causing the depression.

They are good at looking and seeing if a circumstance like a loss in the family is the cause.  They can find out if it is caused by something that happened in the past.  Or they can find out if it is caused by something going on in your body.Whether there was some physiological change.

Depression is a treatable condition.  But without knowing the cause, you can’t treat it.  That is where finding a good therapist or counselor can help tremendously.
