Finally, you will want to have them provide you past references of past clients.  Nothing speaks louder or provides a better validation on the quality of the work and the company than past customers.This lets you see how well they have done in the past.

Water damage can happen in many ways.Ways such as your sink overflowing, you toilet, your dishwasher or washing machine can all overflow.You don’t expect it to happen, but if it does, you have to take some quick steps to stop any more damage.Eventually you do want to give your water damage restoration company a call, but before they arrive, do these steps.  This is coming from years of experience as a water damage San Diego company.

First, you want to prevent the possiblity of any electrocution.  You need to shut off all power to any flooded areas.  The water damage service company should be able to walk you through how to do that.

Second, the water you want to stop.  You do this by shutting off the water source of the flooding.

Third, you are going to want to protect the furniture from any further damage.  Leaving furniture in water can turn something that could have been repaired into an item that will need to be replaced which will cost more money.Get them out of the flooded area as soon as you can.

Those are the steps you want to do as soon as possible before you call any water damage company.  But once you have done those things and have called a good company to do the water damage cleanup, here are a few more things you should do while waiting.

In this day and age of digital cameras, you’ve probably heard or thought that all you have to do is push the button and great pictures magically appear.  Not so fast.The fact of the matter is, you can have the best digital camera, but if you have no clue in what you are doing, you are gonna take horrible shots.

Well, I would like to share with you some great tips on improving your digital photography skills.  These tips are coming from years of experience as a San Diego wedding photographer.  These tips all involve lighting and they are going to be some of the biggest keys to your success in taking your photos.

First tip in lighting.Now if the shots you will take are going to be outdoors during the day, the natural sunlight will be some of the best lighting possible.  Now you are probably thinking, “that’s easy, when you are a San Diego photographer since it is always shiny there”, when in actuality really bright sunlight can cast harsh shadows.Or it could blur the details of faces when the sun is overhead.

Overall, most of the shots you are going to want to take with the sun behind you.This eliminates any harsh shawows from effecting your shot from the sun.There will be some times when you want to take shots from different angles when you do try to get some shadows into the shots.

Now that we have tackled the day shots, what if you are taking shots at night? 

The trick to taking night shots is to turn off your flash.Of course if it is absolutely dark with no light you wil need it, but for times when there is some lighting, use the lighting around you, but make sure the shutter speeds are slow enough to let light in.Another thing, make sure you keep a steady hand when you take your shot or you can blur the photos.  Doing these couple of tricks can make a dramatic difference when taking night shots. 

The final tips to using lighting for great shots is using the golden hour.There is this time that photographers like to call the golden hour or magic hour, and that is sunrise and sunset.

These times of day you wll be able to capture great shots because you will get the more warmer and inviting colors.You’ll be able to get that golden lighting that isn’t available during any other time of day.

There you have it.  Probably the biggest key in taking greatshots is to make sure you take advantage of the natural lighting.  Knowing what techniques to use for different parts of the day, or just scheduling a photo shoots to capture those times of day will help you become an excellent photographer.
